Hello! I am Rachel Dexheimer, founder of EquiSpire Coaching. I spent 18+ years in corporate America, creating an identify based on what I did and how well I performed. I lost myself. I would look in the mirror and never make eye contact; I didn't want to face myself. When I would muster the courage, I couldn't recognize the face looking back at me.

Despite all sorts of signs and signals to reconsider, I kept pushing myself, kept achieving, kept moving up. With each promotion, I would think, "Now, I can really be myself and make a difference." Only to find that the expectations were even more restrictive and limiting. Among moments of joy would be months of misery in a thick fog of confusion - "I have all the trappings of success, so why am I so sad?"

Then, the horses called me back to the only sustainable reality. During one of my lowest points, they helped me rediscover myself. The showed me how to reclaim what I had given away to corporate America. And, in that new field of possibilities, my contribution to the world became clear - to partner with the horses and help others reclaim what is most important to them.

My passion for the past 30 years has been building relationships with horses. But in the last several years, my understanding, respect and trust of them has transformed to a level I had never dreamed possible. And, everyday there is another new awareness. The most unexpected part, is that as my relationship with them deepened, so did all my other relationships.

It is always walking with the horses that I learn my most profound lessons. As such, horses have become a part of the way I experience the world. It is my privilege and honor to walk and learn with them.

I am a Transformative Coach, which means I have studied what I believe to be the most powerful coaching method and the most extensive training program. I am currently completing a Professional Coaching Certificate from invite Change and Antioch University.

I am a Certified Equine Guided Educator through Skyhorse Ranch, training me to partner with the horses to "guide" your learning, offer reflections and accelerate your exploration.

I earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Workforce Development from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. That experience has been instrumental in understanding adult learning, development and dynamics.

My background and soulful approach create a unique opportunity for you to focus on your vision and development in a collaborative relationship with one of the most inspiring creatures in our world - the horse.
